Cooling System

Air conditioning is critical to keep a home comfortable and free of humidity. There are electrical components in an A/C system that can break down from the stress of heat, including the circuit board, condenser motor/fan and more. Homeowners are responsible for the repair and maintenance of all central air conditioning parts. Over 300,000 North American homeowners have heating and cooling system coverage, which has saved policyholders over $22.2 million in repair expenses over the last three years.

Exterior Electric

A home’s exterior electrical wiring includes a number of complicated parts, including attachment wiring, the outside meter box and the wiring from the meter box to the electrical panel. If a problem happens, finding qualified help for emergency repairs can be time consuming and expensive. Over 141,000 North American homeowners have this coverage, which has saved policyholders over $3 million in repair expenses over the last three years.

Heating System

An unexpected heating system failure can result in insufficient or no heat, which can be unsafe and can lead to frozen pipes and water damage. Homeowners are responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the complicated parts that keep a boiler/furnace functioning, and finding a qualified technician can be difficult, especially in an emergency. Over 300,000 North American homeowners have heating and cooling system coverage, which has saved policyholders over $22.2 million in repair expenses over the last three years.

Gas Line

Unexpected problems with gas lines can happen at any time and can cause unpleasant odors inside and outside the home, inefficent or non-working heating and hot water systems and issues with gas appliances. Repairs can be costly and time consuming. Over 287,000 North American homeowners have interior and exterior gas line coverage, which has saved policyholders over $2.3 million in repair expenses over the last three years.

Interior Electric

Faulty wiring and electrical components can cause fire hazards and power outages. Homeowners are responsible for the electrical systems inside their home, but finding qualified help for emergency repairs can be time-consuming and expensive. Over 120,000 North American homeowners have this coverage, which has saved policyholders over $6 million in repair expenses over the last three years.

Water Heater

Hot water heater problems are a major inconvenience that can cause a shortage of hot water for showering or washing and noise and odor due to sediment build-up. Repairs can be time-consuming and costly. Over 304,000 North American homeowners have this coverage, which has saved policyholders over $22.8 million in repair costs over the last three years.

Electric Vehicles

To support EVs, the country will need a network of 9.6 million Level 2 charge ports, although it’s estimated that the lion’s share – 78 percent – will be in private homes. Even so, EV charging infrastructure will have to grow by 20 percent annually to reach that goal. The U.S. will need at least 900,000 public Level 2 and DC fast charging ports that provide convenient overnight charging to meet the needs of residents who don’t have access to garages or driveways and those travelling long distances.
